We are looking for an experienced Manager or Director of Consumer Products to join the Citysearch Publishing team in our West Hollywood, CA headquarters. We are looking for leadership, passion, creativity, a strong interest in community oriented sites, local content and creative approaches to integrating all forms of content (editorial, user-generated content, merchant, critic, real-time). The team is responsible for all aspects of the consumer experience on the Citysearch network – from site navigation and user interface design to search functionality, personalization, and the presentation of advertising and content. Innovation and improvement of new and existing product lines is the key focus of this group. This team in particular drives the consumer strategy and business requirements. In this role, you will lead and direct strategy, business requirements and development of Citysearch’s suite of products by leading cross-functional thinking, conducting competitive analysis, identifying key opportunities based on consumer needs and Citysearch brand attributes, and championing creative development with passion and superior communication skills.
 
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager or Director, Publishing, will help develop the product offering and publishing tools to grow the core Citysearch site and launch new related sites.  The role will work closely with  colleagues and the content team to develop the product roadmap and grow the P&L.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and direct product development and execution of search and profile products.
Proven results, interest and strong proficiency in Search products, navigation and data integrity.
Works closely with senior leadership team, particularly the content team, to define and evolve the overall strategy and product vision for Citysearch’s product offering.
Works ongoing with the Content Team on innovative ways to approach the user-generated content elements on the site.
Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product plans.
Tracks industry and marketplace trends and innovation to inform Citysearch’s community and content strategy to ensure strong consumer experience
Solicits direct feedback about product initiatives from all levels of the organization, including executive management, prioritizing and incorporating the relevant feedback into the product development process.
Encourages new consumer product ideas across the organization, fostering a shared understanding of product/content/marketing concepts that are relevant to our consumer value proposition.
Ensures product alignment around execution of consumer marketing programs, driving flawless execution.
Works closely with finance team to create financial models to forecast consumer projects and initiatives before launch and track performance after launch.
Works in cross functional scrum team helping priortize back-logs and putting user stories into rapid development sprints.

This person will be responsible for:
·          Operating as the recognized central authority of assigned brand category, competitors’ activities, the faucet and fixtures market and Brasstech’s participation in it.
·          Operating as the leader in the cross-functional team responsible for the development of new products and product improvements for assigned brand.  Primarily seen as the leader of the brand business unit.
·          Facilitating and coordinating with all functional areas to ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are prepared to go to market
·          Product management responsibility for all products within the assigned brand category throughout all stages of their life cycle, from development to discontinuance, directed at maximizing the profitability of the assigned portfolio.

·          Tracking industry trends, creating competitive product comparisons and making recommendations for product improvements, line extensions and new product to meet existing or anticipated market needs.
·          Tracking and monitoring brand health metrics and recommending corrective measures if necessary.
·          Leading execution of brand plans that support the growth and profit objectives.

strong creative output.

+ Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work
