Position Summary:
Provide data and analytical support to Health Care Partners for company wide data reporting with key emphasis on incentive programs, professional and institutional capitation, institutional costs, contracting, company initiatives and other operational projects.
Responsible for a complete understanding of all Health Plan contracts, particularly payment terms.
Serve as primary liaison with staff at health plans regarding implementation of contract financial terms. Forecasting future costs and revenues.
Manages the collection, recording and auditing for all payments made by the Health Plan including the validation of professional capitation.
Ensures that all reports are received from the health plans and provides management with summary.
Interfaces with other business units within the company with respect to design, enhancement and maintenance of reporting and/or databases.
Automates a methodology, for data retrieval and manipulation from a variety of sources. For example; claims payment; health plan risk pools; and others as necessary.
Responsible for Capitation/Revenue recovery for ESRD, Hospice, Medi/Medi Working Aged and transplants.
Execute project management techniques to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Manage project tasks, schedules, scope change, and timelines to ensure business needs are met.
Assures the quality and coordination of health plan reporting including enrollment, pharmacy, hospital risk pool fund and other factors.
Responsible for various submissions to Health plans, reconciling discrepancies and maximizing recovery.
Creates ad hoc reports and completes special projects for upper management.
Develop application and/or reporting databases for customer collection of data using MS Access, Visual Basic, etc. in order to help streamline processes and improve productivity.
Requirements:
Knowledgeable in risk adjustment (HCC-Hierarchical Condition Categories) or Medicare payment methodologies.
3 - 5 years of experience in HealthCare financial analysis required.
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Strong understanding of the financial structure and business practices of the managed care industry.
Ability to understand and analyze complex data sets.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and aggressive project deadlines.
Extensive knowledge of MS Access, demonstrated knowledge of Excel and SQL.

Assures that the processing of finance paperwork is handled in a timely and efficient manner. Answers questions and resolves accounting/ finance problems.
